Published Writing

Asides from my own, self-published works, I have also had the pleasure of having my writing published several times under differing circumstances; the samples below range from descriptive art writing, to poetry, to a shorter prose piece, and give a good sense of my overall skill set and styles of writing.

Artworx TO

As one of a handful of student writers selected for the Artworx TO blog as part of Toronto's Year of Public Art in 2021-2022, I was tasked with highlighting local public artworks in areas across the city. The resulting art-writing is short, semi-poetic, and a good example of what I can do with time pressure and a strict prompt. All five are available to read here if you look for posts authored by 'Richie Evans'.

Block Party Mag

A poem about cake. Written based around the theme 'HOME' for the magazines fifth issue in Fall 2023. Read it here on page 21 (spread 11).

The Arts and Science Review

Selected from 'essays' on relationality for a class at OCADu, the short story explores a utopian intersection of beetles and skyscrapers. Read it here, in the the fourth issue of The Arts and Science Review for OCADu, published for the 2022/2023 academic year.
